About Joe
I am a scholarship student at Soka University in California (originally an Essex boy at heart) where I have studied Spanish for three years. I have lived and studied in Spain and Mexico, and have a firm grasp of Spanish. I have tutored adults and young people for two years, and am currently pursuing a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification to help propel my career in teaching.

I'm an undergraduate professional and can teach Spanish up to university level.
Every student is different and has different learning needs. I start by seeing what level an individual is working at by providing quizzes. Then, I base my teaching on that. I teach all four core components of language learning (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) as well as regular vocab exercises. I have plans for all types of learners and like to intersperse my learning with some cultural studies, having students watch movies/TV, listen to podcasts and music in order for them to soak up the language. Based on the individual's needs (specific countries/work needs), I can teach specialised vocabulary and will hold weekly discussion classes where students can practice speaking in Spanish.
