About Naomi
I am an American University professor with both an M.A. degree in American Indian Studies, Languages and Literature, and I hold my Ph.D. in Latin American Studies, Anthropology, and Sociolinguistics. I am a world traveler and teach English, Spanish, and Ecuadorian Quichua. I also am an artist, actress, and professional singer of world folk music. I am an Anthropologist and storyteller. I have taught over 25 years of online and in-person university classes as well as classes for children. I teach holistically, weaving my expertise in Anthropology, Latin American Indigenous Studies, American Indian Studies, Mongolian and Indigenous Russian traditional spiritual and cultural beliefs, as well as art and music into my lessons.

I tutor each individual student depending what their goals are. I integrate a great variety of topics into my lessons. In my language lessons the student is encouraged to speak about topics that they are interested in and we work on building vocabulary and good clear pronunciation. Questions are always encouraged and discussed. I have lived and worked all over the world with international students and speak multiple languages and have an understanding of student cultures and languages and learning styles. A typical lesson plan is tailored toward the individual student's needs. Language tutoring is available for all ages and abilities.
