About Lewis
I am currently studying Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at the University of Nottingham, where I continue to develop strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Prior to university, I completed both A-Level Maths and A-Level Further Maths, giving me a solid foundation across the topics covered at GCSE level and beyond.
Having successfully navigated GCSEs, A-Levels, and the transition to university study, I understand the challenges that students can face when learning maths and preparing for exams. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
I take a professional and organised approach to tutoring, ensuring lessons are well prepared and tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their understanding of key concepts, increase their confidence in maths, or work towards the highest GCSE grades, I am dedicated to helping them make consistent progress.
As a current university student in a highly quantitative degree programme, I regularly apply mathematical thinking in my studies and understand the importance of clear explanations, logical reasoning, and effective exam technique. My aim is not only to help students achieve strong results, but also to develop the confidence and skills that will benefit them throughout their education.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building understanding and confidence rather than memorising methods. I aim to explain concepts clearly, break down difficult topics into manageable steps, and help students develop the problem-solving skills needed to succeed in GCSE Maths.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs. We might focus on strengthening core topics, working through challenging exam-style questions, reviewing homework, or preparing for upcoming tests and exams. I encourage students to explain their thinking as they work, as this helps identify misconceptions and build deeper understanding.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Lessons are conducted online using interactive tools that allow us to work through questions together in real time.
I am currently studying Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at the University of Nottingham and previously completed A-Level Maths and Further Maths. My degree includes mathematical and analytical modules that continue to develop my quantitative skills.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE Maths students of all abilities, whether they are looking to improve confidence, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or work towards the highest grades. I welcome students who need support with foundation content as well as those aiming for the upper grades at higher tier.
As a university student myself, I understand the challenges of studying maths and preparing for exams, and I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
