About Md Tanvir
I taught computer science at the University of Rajshahi for six years, first as a Lecturer and then as an Assistant Professor, covering programming, software engineering, databases, computer graphics and HCI. I was also a Teaching Assistant for COMP6730 Programming for Scientists at the Australian National University.
I hold a Master of Machine Learning and Computer Vision from ANU and an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, and I am currently completing a PhD at HIT Lab NZ, University of Canterbury. I also worked as a software engineer for four years and run a small software company, so I can show you how what you learn is used in real projects.

Lessons are built around what you are studying right now. We can work through lecture topics you find hard, practise problems step by step, or debug your own code together until you understand why it works.
I teach programming in Python, Java, C, C++ and C#, from first-year introductory courses to more advanced topics: object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, software engineering, database systems (SQL and design), and computer graphics.
A typical lesson:
=> a quick check of where you are and what you need
=> explanation with small, worked examples
=> you write the code while I guide you
=> a short summary and practice tasks for the next session
I help you understand the material and prepare for tests and exams. I do not write assessed work for students.
