About Mohammed
Hi. My name is Imtiaz, a Huddersfield University Mathematics BSc Hons student. I enjoy teaching from online sources; Mytutor has been where I developed an interest and my experience as to how students can excel. I’m efficient and effective towards targeting weaknesses and improving students grades for maths and further maths. I currently have 2 years experience using Mytutor - an online website platform in order to teach. Overall, my attitude to tutoring has become a matter of how I can help my students exceed their targets and go beyond where they are currently at. With my specialised lessons, and insight having achieved an A* in A Level Maths and Further Maths, I am confident in my ability to assess student's gaps and target weaknesses.

I have a 3 step teaching strategy: simplifying content, application to exam-style questions and spaced repetition through bi-weekly mini assessments I create for my students. I like to over-prepare - I find I spend more time planning a lesson than I do delivering at times! When simplifying content, I ensure to use the method the student learnt in school to not confuse them with several methods for the same topic. Furthermore, I am glad to provide the resources during the lesson and plan efficient lessons for tailored success of each individual student. Personally, I love Maths! My older brother is a full time tutor, and helping him prepare/deliver lessons has made me want to dive further into it! My love for Maths comes from my love for problem solving - there’s no better feeling than that ‘eureka’ moment! In my free time, I like doing puzzles and playing chess, both problem solving activities too!

Mohammed has been a fantastic tutor through both my AS and A-levels, always going above and beyond in his lessons in both teaching and consolidating my knowledge at the start of every lesson through mini tests that focused on exam board specific questions.
