About Hattie
My approach to tutoring is student-centred, practical, and engaging. I believe that every learner has unique goals and learning styles, so I tailor each lesson to meet individual needs and help students build confidence in using English in real-life situations.
My teaching methodology combines conversation practice, grammar instruction, vocabulary development, pronunciation training, and interactive activities. I encourage active participation and provide constructive feedback throughout each lesson. Rather than focusing solely on memorisation, I help students understand how to use English naturally and effectively in everyday communication, academic settings, or professional environments.
Lessons usually include a review of previous material, targeted practice based on the student's goals, and activities designed to improve speaking, listening, reading, or writing skills. I also provide guidance and resources for independent learning between sessions when appropriate.
I have experience tutoring students from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, helping them improve their fluency, accuracy, and confidence in English. My lessons are carefully planned, yet flexible enough to adapt to each student's pace and progress.
