About Akmal
Hi! I’m a University of Edinburgh student with a strong passion for maths and helping others succeed. I achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and an A in A-Level Maths. Having recently gone through the same exams, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. I’m patient, friendly, and committed to making maths less stressful and more approachable for every student. I love seeing my students gain confidence, improve their understanding, and reach the grades they’re aiming for. Whether you're struggling with the basics or aiming for the top marks, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

As a current University of Edinburgh student with a strong background in maths (Grade 7 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and an A in A-Level Maths), I offer online tutoring for GCSE students of all abilities. My approach is supportive, flexible, and student-focused. I tailor each lesson to your individual needs, learning style, and goals — whether that's gaining confidence, improving exam technique, or pushing for a top grade. My aim is to ensure every student leaves with the grade they want. I explain topics clearly and patiently, using worked examples, guided practice, and past exam questions. I encourage questions and focus on building real understanding, not just memorisation. These lessons are ideal for GCSE Maths and Further Maths students, usually aged 14–16, but I’m happy to help younger or older learners who need support with similar topics.
