About Jennifer
I'm a First-Class Economics with Finance graduate from the University of Edinburgh (graduating July 2025), offering clear, supportive, and engaging tutoring for A-Level and university-level students. I understand how challenging economics can feel at times, and I specialise in helping students break down complex topics—like market structures, macroeconomic policy, and behavioural economics—into manageable, intuitive steps. My approach is structured but adaptable. I begin by identifying each student’s goals and confidence levels, then tailor lessons to suit their learning style. I blend theory with real-world examples and use past paper practice and active discussion to reinforce understanding. Whether you're preparing for exams or improving coursework, my aim is always to boost confidence and improve results. Having tutored throughout university, I bring both academic rigour and a patient, approachable teaching style. I tailor my lessons to each student’s goals—whether that’s mastering core economic theory, improving exam technique, or applying concepts like game theory or behavioural economics to real-world problems. I use a structured yet flexible approach: first building conceptual understanding, then applying knowledge through past papers, discussion, and guided problem-solving. Lessons are typically one hour, but I offer longer sessions for revision or coursework support. I place a strong emphasis on active learning and critical thinking, encouraging students to engage deeply with material rather than just memorising it. I’m due to receive a First-Class Honours degree in Economics with Finance from the University of Edinburgh in July 2025. I’ve tutored peers and younger students throughout university and bring both academic rigour and a relatable, friendly style. I’m happy to teach A-Level, IB, Scottish Highers, and undergraduate students in economics or related finance modules. Whether you’re aiming for top marks or just want to feel more confident, I’ll work with you to make economics both manageable and meaningful.
