About Michel
I’m Michel, an Economics with Finance student at the University of Edinburgh, and I take tutoring seriously. I run professional, well-structured lessons that focus on clear explanations, targeted practice, and measurable improvement. If you’ve been feeling stuck, behind, or simply unsure how to improve efficiently, I’ll help you build a plan that makes progress feel predictable rather than stressful.
I’ve taught 20+ students through weekly one-to-one lessons and study groups, and I always prepare for sessions in advance. I adapt my teaching to your level and learning style, and I aim to make every lesson practical: we identify gaps, fix them with the right method, and then apply that method to exam-style questions until it becomes confident and automatic. I’m Michel, an Economics with Finance student at the University of Edinburgh, and my tutoring is built around clarity, structure, and measurable progress. I start by identifying exactly where you’re losing marks or getting stuck, then I build a simple plan that targets those gaps in the most efficient order. My teaching style is explanation first, then practice immediately after, because understanding only becomes reliable once you can apply it under pressure. During the lesson, we work through examples together, then you attempt similar questions independently while I correct mistakes in real time and show you a repeatable method you can use on your own.
My sessions are usually 60 minutes, which is long enough to cover a concept properly and do meaningful practice. If you prefer, I also offer 45-minute lessons for quick support and 90-minute lessons for deeper revision or exam preparation.
I have tutored 20+ students through weekly one-to-one lessons and study groups, creating personalised lesson plans and helping students improve both confidence and exam performance. I tutor Maths and Economics in English, with a focus on problem-solving, exam technique, and building strong foundations. For Maths, this typically includes algebra, functions, calculus basics, and statistics. For Economics, this includes micro and macro concepts, diagrams, and how to write clear, high-mark answers.
My lessons are for students who want structured support and real improvement, whether you’re in secondary school, IB/A-level equivalent courses, or early university modules. I’m also happy to work with adult learners who want to strengthen fundamentals or prepare for exams.
