About Zoe
I am currently in my second year in the Performance Dance program at Ryerson University, where I train in styles such as ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and more. Though I have extensive experience in training and performing, I would like to use my skills to gain experience in teaching lessons. I have lots of informal teaching experience from my high school, Earl Haig Secondary School, where I was a Dance Major in the Claude Watson Arts program. These experiences include choreographing and teaching multiple dances to peers, and teaching dance classes through school.

About the lesson

My lessons will vary depending on the style of dance, the purpose of the lesson (choreographic work, class, etc), and the experience of the dancer.
A ballet class will include a warm-up at the barre (plie, tendu, jete, grand batement, etc) and centre work (tendu, pirouette, adage, petit allegro, etc). If there is enough time, I may teach a short variation, where the student can work on their individual artistry.
Jazz and contemporary classes will include a warm-up in the centre including cardio, strengthening exercises, and stretches. Then, I will focus on a variety of exercises across the floor or in the centre that will include jumps, turns, and leg extensions. We will then end with a short combination, that will include steps that the dancer focused on during class.
