About Riccardo
I have long cultivated a passion for knowledge that has guided me to a number of learning and teaching experiences. By studying all sciences and maths during my middle and high school career, I could fulfil my need to learn more about the world. Yet I felt that what I learnt in school was not enough, leading me to deepen my studies during my free time in summer. Before starting my IB diploma, I decided to attend courses in Mathematics, Biology and Public Speaking at Oxford University. The “Oxford Royale Academy” courses truly broadened my educational horizons. At Oxford University, I also received the Maths Effort Award and my professor described me as a student who “brings a fresh enthusiasm, always puts a huge amount of effort into solving new problems and never gives up until he has found a solution”. Following this amazing formative experience, two years later, I attended an “Engineering Preparation” course at Cambridge University where I could further grow my knowledge in maths and physics. These experiences reflected positively on my academic performance helping me become the class valedictorian. As my competence in these subjects grew, I discovered a talent in passing on this knowledge. Through teaching not only could I help others but also develop new skills. By teaching chess to middle school students as an afterschool activity, I developed the ability to communicate effectively with younger students. This experience helped me understand how I could make learning engaging and fun through creative teaching techniques. Over the past years I put this experience to the test with over 15 students who have made a huge leap in the STEM subjects and to whom I'm grateful to this day.

Over 4 years I have over developed a mixture of theoretical and hands-on teaching style. Innovative online content delivery through PowerPoint, Mentimeter, Zoom Whiteboard and Bramble Teaching Style: -Content delivery (PowerPoint, videos, quizzes) -Practice Questions -Homework assignment and responsive homework feedback -Setting and tracking exam goals Teaching support: -Always available to clarify students' queries (no need to wait until next lesson for a quick clarification) -Provide tailored study notes -Provide past paper exams -Provide worked solutions I offer tutoring in Maths, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE/Edexcel and International Baccalaureate students. I have worked with students from Year 8 up to Year 13 / Upper 6th, covering the 12-18 age group.

Riccardo tutored my son Nicolò in Higher Level Mathematics and Physics International Baccalaureate.
My son was starting from scratch, Riccardo built up from the foundations of in both Maths and Physics. After 3 months Nicolò was getting A's and B's in his tests. Riccardo would also send practice questions from WhatsApp, and he'd answer Nicolo's question whenever he got stuck doing his homework even on WhatsApp. He's always available and he really goes the extra mile which made a big difference for us.
We are so proud that Nicolò achieved a score of 6 in both Mathematics and Physics Higher Level IB.
