About Saahil
Hi I'm Saahil, a third year International Business Management student at the University of Bristol with a passion for English! I scored 93% in my English A-level and 98% in my English IGCSE, thus I have a well-rounded knowledge of the curriculum and know what examiners are looking for when marking work. Whether you want to sharpen exam technique, build a base knowledge on the subject, or become more confident when approaching texts, I will aid in providing skills and confidence to young students, which I hope will spark a passion for English. As a young tutor I've recently come face-to-face with modern English Literature and Language studies, and in turn know the approach to have when English may seem daunting or tough. I hope I can aid you in your studies and make English a fun subject for all students!

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: Interactive Learning: I emphasise an interactive learning environment where students actively participate in the lesson. I use discussions, reading exercises, and writing tasks to engage students. I encourage critical thinking by asking questions that spark curiosity and analysis of the material. Breaking Down Complex Concepts: English can sometimes feel complex, especially when it comes to grammar, vocabulary, or writing techniques. I break down difficult topics into smaller, digestible parts, ensuring that you can fully grasp each element before moving on. Practical Application: I focus on real-world applications of English, whether it’s for academic writing, improving conversational skills, or understanding literature. This approach helps students see how what they’re learning applies to everyday situations, assignments, and exams. Personalised Support: Every student is different, so I tailor my lessons to the specific challenges or goals you have. Whether you need help with essay writing, expanding your vocabulary, or understanding complex texts, I focus on your personal needs and provide resources and exercises accordingly. Constructive Feedback: I provide constructive feedback on your writing, speaking, or reading, highlighting areas of improvement while also acknowledging your strengths. I believe feedback should be motivating, helping you feel supported while developing your skills. Typical Length of a Lesson: My typical lessons last 60 minutes, which I find to be the ideal time for focusing on specific topics without feeling rushed. However, I’m flexible and can adjust the length depending on your needs and attention span. I can offer shorter sessions if you're looking for more focused, quick feedback, or longer ones if you're working on larger projects or exam preparation. My Qualifications and Experience as a Tutor: While I am in my third year as an undergraduate student, I have always had a strong passion for English, particularly in areas such as writing, literature, and grammar. Throughout my academic career, I’ve gained a solid foundation in English studies and have been helping peers with essay writing, exam preparation, and improving their overall English skills. I have experience working with students from various backgrounds, which has helped me develop effective communication skills and an understanding of how to break down complex concepts for easier comprehension. Who the Lessons Are For: Level: I offer tutoring to students at beginner to intermediate levels, whether you're just preparing for GCSE exams or A-levels or need help with basic English skills. Age: These lessons are for students in secondary and primary school, studying for exams and aiming to solidify their foundations of academic writing and interpretation of texts before approaching literature and language papers. In sum, my goal as a tutor is to help you grow in your English abilities, build confidence, and feel more prepared in both academic and everyday English use. Perfect! Very understanding & paitence is his virtue,
Perfect! Saahil is a friendly and engaging teacher, with heaps of knowledge and exam knowhow. He is flexible about scheduling lessons and always responds promptly to messages. He has taken the time to read the GCSE texts, sets homework and provides constructive feedback. With Saahil's help, my son, who is in year 11, has become much more confident and enthusiastic in English. I would definitely recommend Saahil.

Saahil has been teaching my son online for the last two months in English for KS2 SATS and 11 plus. My son never enjoyed English before. However, he now is very excited by his lessons and looks forward to them. Saahil is engaging and caring. He shows great empathy and makes the lessons enjoyable as well as educational.
