About Alyshya
I am a University of Bristol dentistry undergraduate who is passionate about empowering individuals with knowledge. One of my strongest motivators for pursuing dentistry was to help individuals to fully understand their dental health, and feel more confident in managing their needs. Likewise, tutoring is another pathway for me to uplift individuals. I hope that my students will learn to go beyond just fulfilling the requirements of the school curriculum, and actively immerse themselves in the richness of each subject.
In my free time, I enjoy pursuing creative hobbies such as henna art and pottery. I also enjoy running in nature.

I specialise in STEM subjects, having taught GCSE Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Primary school science. I have also volunteered to teach underprivileged children in my free time. I am passionate about making learning enjoyable and fulfilling. As such, I always make it a point to encourage my students, utilise creative approaches to keep them engaged and draw connections between textbook concepts and their everyday lives.
Moreover, I try to actively explain the 'why' behind each concept, rather than expecting them to plainly memorise it. I believe this nurtures a genuine curiosity as they dive deeper into the content, solidifying a stronger foundation and understanding.
I usually prefer to conduct lessons between 1.5-2 hours long.
