About Sunderani
Hi! I’m Sunderani, an Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham. I achieved grades 8s and 9s in all of my GCSEs, went on to study Mathematics, Business and Chemistry at A-level, and have since gained professional experience at Deloitte, where I completed a year-long placement in external audit.
I’ve been tutoring for two years, both privately and in a school environment, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy.
One of the main reasons I started tutoring is because I know how frustrating it can be when a teacher explains something in a way that just doesn’t click, or when you’re expected to keep up with everyone else despite having your own way of learning. I’ve experienced how much difference the right teacher can make, and I want to be that person for other students.
I strongly believe that struggling with a topic doesn’t mean you’re bad at it. Sometimes you just need someone to explain it differently, take things at your pace or help you approach it from another angle. That’s why I take the time to get to know each student and find out what works best for them, rather than using the same teaching method for everyone.
Having sat my own GCSEs and A-levels relatively recently, I also feel I can relate to students in a way that makes lessons less intimidating. I understand the pressure of exams, the importance of good revision techniques and how overwhelming school can sometimes feel.
For me, tutoring isn’t just about helping students achieve better grades. It’s also about helping them feel more confident in themselves and showing them that they’re capable of more than they might think. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student finally understand something they’ve been struggling with!

I have two years of tutoring experience, both privately and in a school environment, and I understand that every student learns differently. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that’s building confidence, improving grades or preparing for exams.
Having completed my GCSEs and A-levels relatively recently, I have first-hand experience of the current exam system and understand the techniques needed to achieve top grades. I also understand how students of this generation learn, the pressures they face and the revision methods that actually work. I feel this helps me connect with students and explain things in a way that’s relatable and easy to understand.
My lessons are interactive and engaging, focusing on breaking down difficult concepts, practising exam-style questions and developing strong exam technique. I also share the revision strategies and tips that helped me achieve grades 8s and 9s at GCSE and strong A-level results.
I offer tutoring across all KS3 subjects, a wide range of GCSE subjects and A-level Mathematics, Business and Chemistry, covering all major exam boards.
I’m currently studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham and have also gained professional experience at Deloitte, alongside completing six ACA exams.
Above all, I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence. I want my students to not only improve their grades but also genuinely understand and enjoy what they’re learning.
