About Mauricio
I was born in Brazil where I graduated in Digital Games Development. As part of my course, I also studied Computer Science as an exchange student in Canada. I worked both in games and app development on different occasions, and after graduating, I decided to move to Europe, first living in France and now in Ireland. I got familiarized with a variety of languages and environments throughout my career, but Unity has always been my favorite tool to work with and C# my go-to programming language. At the moment, I am involved in developing a game called Vinebound: Tangled Together, which should be hitting Steam and all major consoles in a few months from now.

I will prepare personalized classes based on your level of experience and your needs. At first, we will discuss your objectives and from that, we can arrange a learning schedule that works best for you. The main goal is to learn how to make games with Unity. However, if you have an interest in learning about game design techniques or general notions of user interface or 3D modeling, we will go through that as well. These classes are for you if you are a: - Beginner with no experience in programming - Game development student who wants to improve their skills - Game developer who is unfamiliar with Unity - Programmer who has an interest in learning Unity and transitioning to game development Classes available in English or Brazilian Portuguese.

Perfect! Mauricio is diligent and invested as a tutor. He is very approachable and takes an interest in his student's goals. Mauricio took me on as a student who had a very low level understanding of C# and Unity Games Development to a level whereby I performed very well in my exam in a relatively short space of time. Mauricio is driven by his own will of helping people. When teaching code, he is clever on finding the best way to ensure the full understanding of the concepts and logic behind it, using math in its full potential. Mentoring how to understand and solve a problem, while thinking outside the box, is the essence of his lessons.
Mauricio is thoughtful and empathetic. These characteristics make him a wonderful tutor. He was able to adapt the subject to my level and used nice applied examples to help me understand. I highly recommend him.
