About Evelyn
I always found joy in finally understanding a maths or physics problem; when the equations work and the answer comes out right is always very exciting for me. I also love learning new concepts. I enjoying teaching and helping students as I find that joy through the pupils finally understanding a concept or getting a questions right. I understand how frustrating it is when you can’t wrap your head around a particular problem so I am prepared to be patient with students and to answer all the questions they may have; I believe that questions should be asked no matter how silly they may seem or whether or not you are supposed to know it already.

- I have been a maths prefect for a year, helping out at maths clinic for the lower school at Truro school
- work through lots of problems, explaining the concepts as we go through
- typically 1 hour lessons
- aimed towards secondary school pupils, including GCSEs
- I studied Maths, Physics and English at A levels
- i’m a second year physics student studying at Lancaster university
- I aim to teach you in a way that will be fun and enjoyable, teaching you how maths and physics can be interesting rather than boring and complicated.
- The lessons will be student led, whatever topics you wish to study that day and in whatever way, you can decide so that you get the most out of the lesson, but I will also put in the time to find and create some supplies if you don’t know where to start or what to do in that session.
- I will also give exam advice so that you can put the information you learn into practice that will get you the best results
