About Aiko
Hi! I’m a recent graduate of the University of Queensland. I completed a Bachelors of Advanced Science with Class I Honours in Chemistry. I have just moved to Adelaide to start my PhD at the University of Adelaide in atmospheric and wine chemistry. I have been privately tutoring for over 5 years now, and I really think that there is no work I enjoy more. I have detailed knowledge of the Queensland High School curriculum, so I am sure I will be quick to adapt to the South Australian one. I have seen 5 of my students from grade 10 through to graduating high school and starting uni at their first preference. I believe that these kind of long term relations set a strong foundation for success past high school by building positive habits and attitudes to study. I offer the first session free to make sure that I work well with students and study needs. This means we can take some time to discuss with no pressure. I am very flexible around when works best for students and changing lesson times week-to-week. In addition to private tutoring, I have tutored 6 semesters of 1st- and 2nd-year maths and chemistry courses at the University of Queensland.

I take a very personalised approach to every lesson, because each student is unique and every lesson is different. I have experience teaching new content and revising past content for stronger foundations. I provide in-depth feedback on assignments and essays. For younger students, I can come up with activities that help engage and build an interest in learning. For older students, I can come up with individual study plans that fit their goals and work around their busy schedules.
