About Murray
Hi! I’m Murray, an Economics student at the University of Warwick with a genuine passion for helping others understand and enjoy the subject. I know that economics can sometimes feel complex, but with the right approach, it becomes logical, relatable, and even fun to learn - I promise! I have 7 months of experience as a classroom assistant in Science and Maths, supporting students from Year 4 up to GCSE level. That experience taught me how to explain challenging ideas clearly and build students’ confidence step by step. As a tutor, I focus on clarity, confidence, and real understanding. I tailor each lesson to your goals whether that’s improving exam technique, mastering tricky theories, or connecting economics to the real world. My sessions are friendly, structured, and designed to help you make steady, lasting progress. If you’re ready to feel more confident and motivated in economics, I’d love to help you get there!

My tutoring approach is based on clarity, structure, and engagement. I focus on helping students build a solid understanding of key economic concepts while developing the analytical and problem-solving skills needed to apply them effectively in exams and real-life contexts. I believe the best way to learn economics is through active engagement and relatable examples. I break complex theories into simple, digestible parts and use real-world case studies to make lessons relevant and interesting. Each session includes clear explanations, interactive discussions, and practice questions to reinforce understanding. I also use visual aids such as diagrams and data interpretation exercises to help students grasp abstract ideas. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though I can adjust this depending on the student’s goals or attention span. Lessons usually begin with a short recap of previous material, followed by new content and exam-style questions. I finish each session by summarising key takeaways and suggesting areas to review before the next lesson. I’m currently an Economics student at the University of Warwick, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Alongside my studies, I have 7 months of experience as a classroom assistant in Science and Maths, supporting students from Year 4 up to GCSE level. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and to explain complex concepts in clear, approachable ways. My lessons are ideal for GCSE and A-Level Economics students, as well as anyone looking to strengthen their foundational understanding of the subject. Whether you’re aiming to improve grades, prepare for exams, or simply gain confidence in the subject, I’ll tailor each session to meet your specific needs and goals to allow you to flourish in the economics field!

Murray has really helped my daughter with her A level economics. She was starting to struggle and achieved a D in her mocks. After Murray’s Tution she achieved an A in the her last test. Thanks
Murray was extremely friendly and an excellent economics teacher. He has well structured lessons and recaps/goes over content learnt throughout the whole lesson making it so much easier to remember. Thank you!
