About Jess
Hi, my name is Jess. I studied applied science in college and I am now in my second year at university studying biomedical sciences. I haven’t always had an easy education as I struggled academically in high school in maths and english but found an interest in science when I got to GCSEs. That interest helped me excel in science and that interest is what makes me want to tutor.
Since I was 10 years old I had a maths tutor and found that having their methods of learning/teaching alongside my school teachers really helped me understand the topic, and I believe having that tutor is what made me pass my GCSEs - I want to be able to pass on that favour and help more people feel confident in their abilities.

My aim in our lessons is to help you understand the subject in a fun and interactive way. I have found in my previous education that quizzes and flash questions really help to engage a learner.
In our first lesson, I would like to hear about what areas you are most interested in and where you feel you struggle so we can work together to make you feel confident in all areas. Before each lesson I will plan learning objectives which we can achieve by the end and a small 10 question quiz will be given the next week to see what information stayed with you.
