About Darcy
Hello I’m Darcy, an outgoing Undergraduate Student who did Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level. I love these subjects and really enjoy teaching others to improve their understanding. The better you get at it, the more you will enjoy it! I really believe that I can highlight the most effective revision techniques for each individual, as well as aid their skills and knowledge of the subject. My lessons are all prepared for in detail and are tailored to the needs of individual students. Each lesson will include access to resources such as practice questions, summary sheets and notes. I aim to be clear, concise and efficient whilst gaining an understanding for how each student learns. I usually begin with covering content and then continually doing exam-style questions to test they are understanding what we covered. I find this is most effective because weak topics can be easily identified and therefore, improved. GCSE preparation is a learning curve for many pupils because it is their first set of public exams to revise for. Consequently, I suggest a range of revision techniques so they can see what suits them best. Lessons are typically one hour, but longer sessions can be arranged if necessary. Additionally, if appropriate, I set and mark homework at no extra cost to help push the student to their full potential. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
