About Mahika
Hi! My name is Mahika, you can call me MJ! I'm a freshman at the George Washington University and my primary major is Communications; I am interested in journalism, international relations, politics and law.
I'm an avid writer and have a podcast of my own, I have a lot of experience with creative writing, news writing and public speaking in different contexts.

I am a fun and chatty individual, I'm 18 years old and a student myself so I teach according to how I would like to be taught. My lessons are interactive, visually stimulating and in general won't feel too much like tutoring.
A typical lesson would look like introducing the student to the topic, understanding what they already know, going through the topic in sections, checking their understanding, finishing with a summary or conclusion.
I would make sure I teach in a manner that makes it easy to take notes and that I share relevant materials with the students as well.
The lessons are intended for ages 4-16. I will surely consider people outside the age gap as well given that I feel confident in my abilities to undertake the topics.
