About Riley
Hi, I'm Riley, an undergraduate student at the Australian National University. Throughout my years in Scouts Australia, I gained valuable experience teaching youth and completed extensive Child Safety Training. This background has equipped me with the skills to create a safe and engaging learning environment for all students. My passion for learning has been a constant throughout my education. I took science subjects all the way through high school and have developed a sophisticated understanding of both Chemistry and Physics. Additionally, I am confident in my ability to teach any core subject at the relevant levels, helping students to grasp complex concepts and achieve their academic goals.

Based on my prior experience teaching kids, I focus on constant engagement. I ensure that for the totality of a lesson the student is engaged. I avoid long rambling spiels and ensure constant interactivity. Beyond these general principles the structure of the lesson will vary based on the needs of the student and specific circumstances of that week. Lessons can be conducted virtually or in public study spaces at the ANU. Each lesson will run for approximately 1 hour, although duration and scheduling is open for negotiation. Travel will be discussed based on the specifics of the student - probably about 10 dollars.

Riley is a very responsible young man. Through his time in the Venturers program I have seen Riley successfully teach kids of various ages, ensuring engagement for the entirety of the session. I am confident in his ability to tutor kids.
Riley has developed a great teaching ability through his time as a Patrol leader in scouting. Being a patrol leader allowed Riley to gain ability to teach a large variety of people who learn in unique ways. A teaching accomplishment was leading scouts on multiple camps including scout hike where he helped develop scouts outdoors and practical skills through leading activities.
