About Nicole
I am a sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Throughout my educational career, I have found myself to be especially skilled iand passionate about teaching math and biology. Although these subjects come rather easily to me, I understand what it is like to struggle in other subjects, and I have learned skills to make these more difficult subjects more understandable. Therefore, I am patient and understanding in my teaching approach, but not afraid to challenge a student's understanding for the better.

I emphasize the importance of understanding a concept and doing lots of practice. My lesson plan consists of a review of important concepts, guided practice, independent practice, and an opportunity for students to teach concepts back to me to solidify understanding. Throughout my educational career, I have learned the importance of practice and ability to teach others as the most effective ways of truly understanding subjects, and I am eager to help students understand this as well. I am open to teaching middle and high school-level students.
