About Rebecca
I have been writing college level papers for almost five years. In that time, I honed my skills in analyzing and writing about poetry, prose, and non-fiction arguments.
I took AP English Literature and Language, and have taken four Honors level courses throughout my time at Yeshiva University.
I am additionally a Senior Editor for one of two student-run newspapers at YU.

Literature is my passion, and it is my goal that through teaching, it can become your passion too. When I teach, I like to prepare by reading the piece at hand, coming up with my own thoughts, as well as closely understanding how the piece has been critically received and how its themes have been interpreted (and, of course, how you understood the piece). I combine all of these factors to create a comprehensive and meaningful explanation of the subject at hand, so you can be fully prepared to discuss and write about it in an academic setting.
When I tutor writing, my intention is to enable your creativity and ideas to shine on the page. I often find that those who struggle to write merely struggle to put their thoughts into articulated words. I aim to allow you to write in your style by discussing your thesis, brainstorming, outlining, and writing, so that one day you can write without my help.
I tutor high schoolers as well as college students!
