About Emma
I'm Emma Thomas, currently a Loughborough University student pursuing a degree in International Business. I have been tutoring for 2 years now and find it a rewarding experience. This is because I was able to simplify complex topics and hone into problem areas for each student, allowing them to grasp each topic to the best of their ability and making them feel confident when going in for an exam. From their predicted grades being C's, I was able to help them achieve A's at the end of their exams which made the job more fun. Moreover, I have a passion for working with children, allowing me to be more patient with them. I have worked with children who have ADHD, dyslexia and Down syndrome, allowing me to experience different approaches when it comes to teaching them. Having a variety of experiences have not only enhanced my existing skills, but allows me to develop new ones as well, vital for my future.

The first lesson we will figure out what kind of learning suits you best whether it be through exam style questions, learning content, quizzes, etc. Usually, a lesson would be 1 hour long but when going through a whole past paper, we may need 2 hours. The lessons are for anyone doing GCSE or A Level Economics, or someone who is passionate about Economics and would like to learn more about the subject. I have 2 years of experience being an Economics tutor to A Level and GCSE students and it has been a rewarding experience as their predicted grades were Cs/5s and for their exams they achieved A's/8s/9s.
