About Jwal
I am an undergraduate premed Health Science student at the ANU. I am currently studying human biology, biochemistry, physiology as well as other health-related courses. I completed my HSC in 2024 in NSW, where I took courses like 4U Math, Adv English, Bio, Chem and Physics. I completed my Year 12 with an ATAR of 90.15. I was always interested in tutoring since high school, but I prioritized my own studies at that time with its busy schedules. Currently, I am hoping to provide tutoring support for individuals wanting to obtain extra academic support in their studies and who are potentially struggling with understanding concepts that are often covered quickly in their respective educational institutions. I aim to provide a personalized and flexible teaching approach. I believe sharing knowledge and experience can help both parties involved, since it also provides a space for me to reflect. I also believe that different approaches to the same concept can often make concepts easier to tackle.

A typical lesson would likely be 1 hour each, unless personally discussed. During my schooling and especially Year 12, I struggled to understand concepts solely from a theoretical perspective. So I hope to incorporate a visual learning approach (via doodles, diagrams, analogies, etc.) that links to the actual, bigger-picture concept for easier understanding. And from hard work and persistence, better results can be achieved (as did I in my HSC).
I have previously tutored only informally, but having started my tertiary studies, I am hoping to teach to help students and also expand my horizon. Due to uni schedules, I am currently only available online. However, I am happy to tutor any individual, from school students to first- or second-year uni students, as long as your needs align with my teaching scope and specialty.
