About Laiba
My name is Laiba, I am currently in my final year of university; I’m studying BSc Economics at Bradford University and have passion for learning and developing my skills.
I wish to tutor because I am planning on becoming a teacher after I graduate, which has been something I have always wanted to do since a young age. I believe in learning, so sharing my knowledge with the next generation is something I find rewarding, especially because I can help develop someone’s fundamental knowledge. My main aim is to engage the students that as their own education progresses, they develop a liking and wish to continue learning (regardless if they find it a challenge or not!).
I am hoping that tutoring will allow me to engage and enhance my own skill set over time too.

The best way to learn in my opinion is to understand why the theory is what it is; my techniques will focus on explaining the theory behind the topic, but also allow the student to practice questions (independently and also work / explain their process with me). My aim is to explain reasoning behind the concepts in order for the student to be able to identify and work-out problems on their own.
A typical length of a lesson is 45 mins - 1 hour, depending on the student and how they process / learn the time will differentiate.
My lessons are targeted to primary school children and early secondary school children (5 - 13 year olds).
