About Jillian

I am a first-year student at Emory University, majoring in biology and finance. I am from Taiwan, but had lived in China for 11 years and 2 years in the United States. Furthermore, I enjoy cooking, weight training, listening to podcasts and reading books, meeting new people, and volunteering! I am involved in an investment club and also participate in a volunteering program where I teach students about energy auditing and topics related to climate change and energy.

About the lesson

- Mostly in Q&A format: the student comes with questions and I will try to help them to analyze the question, clarify misunderstanding when they explain why they select the wrong answer choice

- Can be personalized for just teaching a specific topic or going through worksheets together to solidify concepts

- Another common format is to outline the topics we will be learning today, explain the concepts, and complete exercises!

- These lessons are oriented towards middle school students. I am patient and have a passion for simplifying hard concepts using stories, visuals, and personal examples so that students can better absorb the information.
