About Andy
I’m a pre-med college student with a strong background in science and a genuine passion for education and mentorship. As a current student myself, I understand how overwhelming challenging coursework can feel, and I know the difference that patient, supportive instruction can make. I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may have previously found intimidating. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I take tutoring seriously and aim to meet every student with professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for their success.

My tutoring style is highly interactive and centered around the Socratic method. Rather than simply giving students the answer, I guide them through a series of questions that help them identify what they already know, recognize where they are getting stuck, and work their way toward the answer themselves. I believe this helps students develop stronger critical-thinking skills and actually understand the material instead of relying on memorization.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and areas of difficulty. We then work through concepts and practice problems together, with plenty of opportunities to stop, ask questions, and revisit anything that does not feel clear. I adjust my explanations based on the student’s learning style and often use examples, visuals, and step-by-step problem solving.
My lessons are especially suited for high school and undergraduate students who want a patient, encouraging environment where they can build both their understanding and their confidence. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more capable of working through problems independently, not just knowing the answer to one question.
