About Tasnim
Music, and playing the guitar, has simultaneously been a great source of input and output; it has been a well of knowledge as well as a creative outlet.
Learning the guitar has strengthened the role of music in my life by providing me with a deeper understanding of my favourite songs and artists. This, in turn, has helped me learn more about myself.
This is part of what I want to share with students who would like to pursue this and the method by which I would do so would be to dedicatedly and patiently show them how I came across the same.

My approach is to understand what the student is looking to get out of learning the instrument, and about music in general; what their relationship is to it, any previous experiences they’ve had, and above all, to inculcate a genuine interest to want to continue learning.
The plan is to have lessons once a week in which we understand how building blocks such as chords, melodies and other components come to be, and how they work with each other. Chord vocabulary would be built through breaking down song of the student’s choice, as well as understanding scales, keys; in essence, all the good parts of what make up your favourite song.
Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar before or you’re looking to discuss your ardent love for music and refresh your memory on its fundamental components, anyone of all ages are welcome!
