About LaraMae
Hello! My name is LaraMae, and I am currently a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) student majoring in Social Studies. As a future educator, I have developed a strong foundation in teaching strategies, lesson planning, classroom management, and student-centered learning approaches.
Throughout my academic journey, I have gained experience in facilitating discussions, creating engaging learning activities, and helping learners understand complex concepts in a simple and meaningful way. My specialization in Social Studies has equipped me with knowledge in history, geography, economics, government, and contemporary issues, allowing me to guide students effectively in these subject areas.
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and learning environment. As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. Hello! I'm Lara Mae, and I believe that learning becomes meaningful when students are actively involved and feel comfortable asking questions. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students understand the lesson but also to build their confidence and develop critical thinking skills.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and flexible. I explain concepts in simple and easy-to-understand language, using real-life examples and guided discussions to make lessons more engaging. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively, and learn at their own pace. I also use visual aids, practice activities, and quick assessments to check their understanding and reinforce key concepts.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous topics to activate prior knowledge. Next, I introduce the new lesson through clear explanations and practical examples. During the lesson, students complete interactive exercises or solve practice problems to apply what they have learned. At the end of each session, I summarize the key points, answer any remaining questions, and provide tips or short activities for independent practice.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, dedication, and passion for teaching. As an education student majoring in Social Studies, I understand that every learner has different strengths and learning styles. I make sure my lessons are organized, encouraging, and adapted to each student's needs.
