About Mohammed
I’m Mohammed Roomi, an Economics and Finance student at the University of East Anglia with a long-standing passion for mathematics and problem-solving. Having taught Maths for three years, I’ve worked with students of different abilities and understand how to make even the most challenging topics feel clear, manageable, and enjoyable. Teaching is something I value deeply because I know how transformative the right support can be. I want to help students build confidence in their abilities, develop strong mathematical thinking, and realise that progress is always possible with the right guidance. My friendly approach, patience, and ability to quickly spot where a student is going wrong allow me to support them effectively and efficiently. Professionalism and care are at the centre of my tutoring. I prepare thoroughly, tailor lessons to individual needs, and consistently aim to provide a positive, motivating learning experience. My goal is simple: to help every student feel capable, confident, and ready to succeed in Maths.

I teach Maths in a structured yet friendly way, using interactive explanations and real-time problem-solving to help students truly understand each topic. I quickly identify errors and guide students through step-by-step methods that build confidence and accuracy. Lessons typically last around an hour, though I’m flexible—sessions can run slightly longer or shorter depending on how well my student has understood the material. My priority is always comprehension, not the clock. I’ve been teaching Maths for three years and currently study Economics & Finance at the University of East Anglia, giving me a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning. I tutor students of all abilities at GCSE level, offering both Foundation and Higher Tier support, as well as helping A-Level students strengthen core skills, improve exam technique and achieve top results. My lessons are ideal for learners who want clear explanations, interactive teaching, and steady, confidence-building progress. Mohammed is extremely good at explaining and clearing concepts students may struggle with in Maths. Furthermore he is patient and supportive always making sure to give students time and encouragement when working in Maths. It would be a shame for students to not receive help from him, coming from his younger sister he has been tutoring for most of my life
I highly recommend Mohammed as a maths and economics tutor, was more of a help to my maths grades than the teacher was I cannot thank him enough. Would recommend any students that study economics or maths to start lessons with him as soon as possible to make a difference to their grades in time for exams!
