About Njabulo
Hello, and welcome! My name is Njabulo, and I am an engineering professional with a strong academic and technical background. I enjoy helping students develop not only their subject knowledge, but also the confidence and problem-solving skills needed to succeed independently.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured and tailored to each student. I take the time to understand where a student is in their learning journey before adapting my explanations and the pace of the lesson accordingly. Whether you need help strengthening the fundamentals, working through challenging problems, preparing for assessments, or simply gaining more confidence in a subject, I aim to make each lesson clear, practical and engaging.
I believe that a good tutor should create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not simply to provide solutions, but to help you understand how and why a solution works so that you can approach similar problems confidently on your own.
You can expect me to be professional, prepared and committed to your progress. I will work with you to identify areas for improvement, practise them systematically, and build on your strengths as we progress.
I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals.

My approach to private tutoring is student-centred, practical and adaptable. I first aim to understand the student's current level, identify gaps in their understanding, and then build the lesson around those areas. I believe that strong tutoring is not simply about giving students answers, but helping them develop the confidence and reasoning skills to solve problems independently.
My methodology combines clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and active questioning. I break complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps and adjust the pace according to the student's needs. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning, as this helps me identify misunderstandings and allows them to develop deeper conceptual understanding.
What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to adapt my explanations to different learning levels. If a student is struggling with a concept, I am comfortable going back to the fundamentals and rebuilding their understanding from the ground up. Conversely, for students who are more advanced, I can challenge them with more complex problems and encourage deeper analytical thinking. My engineering background also allows me to connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications and practical examples where appropriate.
I am proficient in English and conduct my lessons primarily in English.
A typical lesson with me will generally involve:
A brief review of the student's current understanding and previous work.
Identifying the key concept or problem we need to address.
A clear explanation of the concept, starting from the fundamentals where necessary.
Worked examples demonstrating how to approach problems.
Guided exercises where the student applies what they have learnt.
Questions and discussion to check understanding.
A short recap of the key lessons and areas to practise before the next session.
I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes during lessons. I see mistakes as an important part of learning, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable saying "I don't understand" so that we can address the difficulty properly.
My lessons are suitable for school learners, university students and students who need additional academic support, particularly those who want to strengthen their foundational understanding rather than simply memorise solutions.
I am particularly comfortable working with students who may initially lack confidence in a subject. My focus is on meeting the student at their current level and progressively building their knowledge, confidence and problem-solving ability.
My overall goal is for students to leave each lesson not only knowing how to solve a particular problem, but understanding why the solution works and being more confident in tackling similar problems independently
