About Aarnav
Hi, I’m Aarnav—a UCLA student majoring in Mathematics and Economics with a perfect 4.0 GPA. I scored a 43/45 on the IB and a 34 on the ACT (36 in Math and English), and I’ve helped students succeed in IB, IGCSE, AP, and college-level subjects. As a tutor, I focus on building a deep conceptual foundation rather than encouraging rote memorization. My approach is interactive and adaptive—each session is tailored to how the student learns best. Whether it's simplifying abstract mathematical concepts using visual aids, breaking down economic models through real-world examples, or making physics intuitive with analogies and simulations, I make sure the student understands rather than just remembers.
A typical lesson begins with a quick diagnostic—reviewing past material and identifying weak spots. Then, we dive into the core topic for the session using a mix of guided problem-solving, discussion-based learning, and practice exercises. I frequently integrate spaced repetition and active recall techniques to boost retention. Toward the end of each session, I recap the key ideas and assign a short, targeted task to reinforce learning between lessons.
What sets me apart is my background: I graduated high school with an IB score of 43/45 and now study Mathematics and Economics with a Minor in Data Science Engineering at UCLA, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I’ve worked with over 20 IB and IGCSE students across subjects, helping many improve their grades significantly through consistent, personalized support.
