About Tiffany
Graduating from UCLA, I learned more than just the learning objectives in my classes. I learned HOW to learn and study. I found the value in spaced repetition studying and how to identify the topics I needed more work on. I have been a part of study groups all through college and I grew up helping my younger brother in his math classes all through high school. Teaching has been a crucial part of my own learning experience and my goal is not just to teach the subject at hand but ensure that students pick up tools that they can use in the next class and for the rest of their learning career.

My first step is to create goals with the student and figure out where they are at in their work. I like to have the student work on problems before we meet and have them send work ahead of time so I can create a specialized lesson plan. My teaching method consists of breakdown questions to allow the student to work through problems themselves with my guidance. I enjoy teaching high school mathematics, including precalculus, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, and I majored in physiological science so biology, chemistry, and physiology are my favorite topics. I really enjoyed school and I want to help others find the joy in problem solving and mastering these topics.
