About Jordan
I hated math! It wasn't until college that I learned to view math as a language rather than a mechanical chore. This mentality is what sets students apart at University, plug&chug vs. storytelling through logical language.
Math is more enjoyable if you view it as maps and stories :).
Because of my early struggles with math, I've been in your shoes before! As I get to know you, I can explain concepts in such a way that will make sense specifically to you.
I specialize in preparing students for Calculus and Advanced Algebra. I have worked with students from K-12 and college.
Experience: Mathnasium, Math Lab tutor, Math TA, 4.0 in Calculus I, II, III.

My lessons are for students ranging from K-12 to basic undergraduate mathematics.
A typical lesson plan begins with confiding with students in order to identify exactly what they are struggling with. Tell me what parts you are confused about, which problems you cannot solve, what does not make sense, etc.
Next, I will construct a lesson plan tailored to your proficiency level, we cannot move on unless you feel confident in your foundations.
From there we will go over some exercises together, I will make sure you will feel confident going into class with an independent understanding of the material. If we do a problem together, I will have you explain your solution in your own words.
