About Carina
I am a UCLA grad (3.9 GPA) with over 5 years of professional tutoring experience. I have worked with numerous tutoring agencies, where I have mastered skills and methodologies to help students maximize their scores on the SAT and ACT (my students have improved their scores by 300 points on average through tutoring with me). I have a flexible schedule, so I can work with you to build the perfect tutoring schedule for your needs!

For SAT / ACT tutoring, my method involves:
1. Intro meeting with student and initial assessment of strengths and weaknesses that are relevant to the exam
2. Baseline practice test to record beginning metrics and identify areas of focus for tutoring
3. Resources/practice to improve upon areas of focus
4. Series of practice tests that simulate the real exam so students become familiar with the structure, timing, types of questions, and strategies to improve scores
5. Ensure that students understand the correct answers for questions they initially missed so they get these type of questions correct on the real exam
6. Personalized test-taking strategy sessions
7. Regular score/improvement reports
