About Aya
Hi, I’m Aya! I’m a UCL student with a strong interest in history, politics, economics and current affairs. Outside of university, I love reading, learning about different cultures and exploring new ideas. Having recently gone through A-Levels myself, I understand how stressful and overwhelming they can feel, especially when you’re struggling with a subject or unsure how to improve. I want to use my own experience to support students through that process, make difficult topics feel more manageable and help them feel more confident in their abilities. I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and want to make studying feel less stressful and more achievable.

My lessons are personalised to each student, focusing on both understanding the subject and achieving higher exam marks. I have previous experience tutoring students aged 11–16 in English, History and Maths, and I understand how to adapt my teaching to different abilities and learning styles. For A-Level Economics, I went from a U in Year 12 to an A in Year 13, giving me first-hand experience of turning struggling grades around. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts, improving essay structure and evaluation, mastering exam technique and practising questions under exam conditions. My aim is not simply to help students memorise content, but to build their confidence and teach them how to approach questions independently and effectively.
