About Amy
For my GCSEs I achieved all 9s in the Sciences and Maths, incl. Further Maths and right now I am a medical student at UCL, having just achieved 3 A*s in my A Levels (Biology, Chemistry and Maths). But I’d be more than happy to help anyone preparing for their GCSEs/ A Levels or any levels leading up to them. However, I am particularly confident with the IGCSE and A Level Edexcel syllabus. My goal is to make students feel more confident in what they’re learning and help them realise that they can achieve more than they might think.

I’m a big believer in the idea that everybody has the potential to achieve top grades in any subject, no matter their current ability. In my lessons, I will aim to pinpoint any areas which a student may be struggling and help them build a deeper understanding for key concepts, which will help set them up for success. I’ve been tutoring as part of a Refugee Tutoring programme for just under a year now, which has taught me a lot about how to make learning engaging and accessible for all kinds of students. It’s been a really rewarding experience so far, and I’ve learnt a lot about the importance of patience and adaptability in teaching. Additionally, I make sure to pre-plan my lessons based upon the students' weakest topics and I set weekly homework, which are combinations of weaker topics and key exam questions from past papers.

Amy is an excellent tutor. She is highly organised, and planned lessons (physics and chemistry) while also adapting each class to the student's requirements . She makes excellent use of the time available , and explained things clearly and patiently. Highly recommended.
Amy is an outstanding tutor who has enriched my learning and helped me reach my target goals. I have ADHD and find it hard to concentrate. Amy has really shown her support and her understanding approach to teaching.
Amy is an amazing tutor. She helped my son through GCSES tutoring physics and English, helping him up his grades and secure a nine. I’d definitely recommend for anyone whose children are struggling. Thanks Amy!!!!
