About Kian
I’m a third-year Medical Physics student at UCL with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics and several years of tutoring experience. I enjoy teaching because I like helping students feel more confident with subjects they may initially find challenging. I’m patient, reliable, and well organised, and I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

My lessons are typically one hour long and are structured but flexible, depending on the student’s goals and level.
I begin by identifying gaps in understanding and then explain concepts clearly using worked examples and guided practice. I place a strong emphasis on problem-solving, exam technique, and developing a solid understanding of key ideas rather than pure memorisation. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of opportunity for questions, and I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning styles and abilities.
I work with students who want to build confidence, improve grades, or prepare for exams, and I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving over time. Lessons are available both online and in person.
