About Nur
As a postgraduate student in education, with a background in Teaching English As A Second Language (TESL), I bring a blend of academic expertise and practical experience to my lessons. I am proactive in my teaching style, ensuring that lessons are engaging, informative, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on grammar and vocabulary, but I make sure the learning process is dynamic and enjoyable through a variety of interactive activities. My goal is for students to leave each lesson having learnt at least five new words. I understand the mindset of Generation Z, as I am part of it myself, and I know how to make lessons relatable and engaging for students aged 11-14. However, I am also committed to creating a structured and disciplined learning environment, ensuring that students not only enjoy their lessons but also make meaningful progress. With experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds, including China, Korea, and Malaysia, I can adapt my approach to suit different learning styles, helping each student build confidence and achieve their goals.

I believe in being proactive and engaging during my lessons, ensuring that students are actively involved in their learning process. I focus on building strong grammar foundations while keeping lessons interactive to avoid monotony. I include various activities and exercises to make learning enjoyable and ensure that students stay engaged. By the end of each class, I aim for students to learn at least five new words, helping them gradually expand their vocabulary. My lessons typically last for an hour, providing ample time for focused learning and practice. With experience teaching at an international school, I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including China, Korea, and Malaysia. I specialise in tutoring students aged 11-14, helping them build confidence and proficiency in English.
