About Rowan
I have recently graduated from Durham University with a 1st class degree in BSc Health and Human Sciences. I have just moved to London to pursue an MSc in Population Health at UCL, and would love to pass on my experience in university application both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I am happy to help find suitable courses, choose an appropriate range of courses to apply to, and with writing the personal statement. I received offers for all courses I applied to, but I remember feeling lost when it came to the personal statement when I was applying to my BSc. This is essentially all the universities have to judge you on, so you've got to make it good!

I am happy to help students from GCSE-Bachelor's level in preparation for the university entrance and the personal statement, helping them find the right courses to apply to, and generally support students through the whole application process. I was lucky enough to have support from teachers at school, but I had nobody who had gone through it recently to guide me. I am offering this service as it is something I feel many students could benefit from.
I will support students in any way they feel necessary. A lot of people come to writing their personal statements and don't feel they have anything to put on it, so I believe the process is best started the in the beginning of sixth form, so you can genuinely work out what you would like to do and reflect your genuine interests in your statement. However, I am still happy to help students who are in the writing stage, to reflect who they are in a concise and effective manner.

Rowan is an organised and efficient teacher and cares a great deal about her students. She is very reliable and will never miss a lesson. She is also up for a laugh, sessions are really fun with her.
Rowan is probably the hardest working person I know, and has always studied extremely conscientiously. At the same time she's also extremely friendly, and whenever she's helped me with academic work (or anything else), she's always made me feel really comfortable and at ease. I'm sure she'd be an amazing tutor!
A former class mate of mine in undegrad, no one was known to achieve better quality work than Rowan. If you want someone knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to her subject then she's the perfect tutor for you!
