About Jhelisa
I am a Teacher of English and English Curriculum Lead, with 8 years of tutoring experience and 3 years of teaching experience. I have worked in education for 5+ years, working with a range of students with a plethora of abilities and needs, including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and DLD. I am confident in my approach to teaching and ensuring students` needs are met in a way that is creative and works for them.
As a Qualified Teacher and Curriculum Lead, tutoring with me will provide your child with quality first teaching and assured progress. I am passionate about English as a subject and as a King`s College London and UCL graduate, have worked hard to earn multiple qualifications to further my subject mastery. I am confident that my lessons are engaging whilst upholding national teaching expectations.

Lessons with me are bespoke and creative, whilst upholding national teaching standards and expectations. My approach to teaching is to engage students by ensuring that lessons are both challenging and accessible. Students will be scaffolded appropriately to build confidence and will be given many opportunities to practice techniques through independent work.
