About James
A highly experienced GCSE tutor who is passionate about learning and helping students achieve excellence in their education. I began tutoring children 5 years ago, whilst I was completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy at UCL. I have since tutored many students in GCSE Maths, English and Science. Many students I have tutored have gone on to be admitted to their first-choice colleges (including Sevenoaks and Wellington College).
My tutoring process is highly structured, beginning with a basic test of my student’s abilities in order to engage with weaker areas and to then build their knowledge of topics from the ground up. My lessons are closely focused to the student’s exam board, including past papers, model essays and practice questions for homework.
My goal is to maximise student’s progress and achieve their grade potential in a friendly, non-judgemental environment!
