About Zhi Xuan
I am an undergraduate student at UCL (University College London) studying BSc Mathematics and Physics. This is a course that places heavy emphasis on mathematical fluency and mental agility, on top of juggling concepts in physics.
I sat the 2026 A level examinations and achieved 4 A stars, including Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Before that, I also sat my IGCSEs, obtaining 12 A stars, one of which was in Additional Mathematics. Needless to say, getting here was not a fluke!

My teaching philosophy stems from developing a deep understanding of a mathematical concept, then leveraging that when tackling real past paper questions to strengthen content mastery.
My classes will follow your syllabus closely, ensuring all content is thoroughly covered and filling in any knowledge gaps before applying it to some simple examples. After that, I will personally guide you through exam-styled questions, hand-selected from various past papers tailored towards your learning style, speed and goals. The typical length of a class can range from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on your preference.
One of my students who was struggling with IGCSE Additional Mathematics saw an improvement in her topic test grades from an average of 40% to 80% in recent assessments.
Given that I just recently sat these exams myself, I provide priceless advice and insights into how I approach preparing for these exams. I strongly believe my recent experience will make these lessons very helpful and relatable for students.
