About Miguel Angel
I am a university educator and researcher with a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and more than 10 years of experience teaching chemistry, biochemistry, biology and quantitative scientific subjects.
My academic background includes quantitative science, medical biochemistry and scientific writing. I have taught students across science, engineering and health-related disciplines and have extensive experience breaking complex technical problems into structured, understandable steps.
I use a highly interactive online classroom with live screen sharing, digital annotation and customised learning materials.

Preparing for the UCAT can become overwhelming when students don't know which mistakes are costing them marks. My lessons identify those weaknesses and turn them into a focused preparation plan. My UCAT lessons are structured around diagnosis, strategy and targeted practice rather than simply working through large numbers of questions.
I first identify where the student is losing marks — whether through timing, reasoning, calculation, question selection or avoidable errors — and then build a focused plan around those weaknesses.
Lessons combine clear strategy teaching, guided practice, timed exercises and detailed review. I use bespoke digital workbooks so students can annotate, practise and track their progress between sessions.
For students who are already scoring well, we focus on refining efficiency and decision-making under time pressure rather than simply doing more questions.
