About Joanna Marie
I am a native spanish and english speaker. Although I was born and raised in the United States, I grew up speaking both languages because I have Puerto Rican, Salvadoran, Mexican and Spanish roots. Although I travel frequently to Latin America and Spain, I currently live in Houston, Texas where I teach bilingual education and also sing and perform traditional latin music.

Learning should be enjoyable and fun. Therefore the lessons are focused as much as possible around the students' interests and needs. If the student enjoys movies or music then those are implemented in the lessons. If the student prefers, informal convesational lessons are given instead of following the formal grammar/textbooks format.
