About Salma
My name is Salma Kallida and French has been part of my professional and academic life for over a decade — not as a language I studied from the outside, but as one I lived and worked in from the inside.
I completed my full Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering at SUPINFO International University in Paris entirely in French. Every lecture, every assignment, every exam, every professional interaction — all in French. I did not just pass through Paris as a student. I built my academic foundation there, in one of the world's most demanding French-language academic environments, and emerged with both a degree and a deep, natural fluency that goes far beyond textbook knowledge.
After Paris, I continued working in Francophone professional environments throughout my career — across Morocco, Belgium, and beyond. French has been the language of my contracts, my colleagues, my presentations, and my correspondence. I know what professional French actually sounds like in a real workplace, not just what the grammar books say it should sound like. That distinction matters enormously when you are learning a language to use it in the real world.
I am also a native Arabic speaker and fully fluent in English — which means I can teach French through either language depending on what works best for you. This is genuinely rare. Most French tutors can only explain French in French, which is wonderful once you have a foundation but deeply frustrating when you are still building one. I can meet you exactly where you are — in English, in Arabic, or in French itself — and guide you forward from there.
Beyond my language background, I am a dual-certified Life and Health Coach through the Health Coach Institute. Coaching taught me something that transformed how I teach — that real progress happens when someone feels genuinely understood, not just instructed. Every student I work with gets my full attention, a lesson plan built around their actual goals, and honest feedback that helps them improve rather than just feel comfortable.
I have lived across four countries and navigated professional life in multiple languages. I know what it feels like to sit on the other side of a language — to want to express something clearly and not yet have the words. That experience makes me a more patient, more empathetic, and more effective teacher. I do not just correct your mistakes. I help you understand why they happen and how to stop making them.

Every lesson I give is built around one person — you. Before we begin, I take time to understand exactly where you are starting from, what you want to achieve, and how you learn best. There is no generic curriculum, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a clear, structured path designed specifically for your goals.
My French is not something I learned from a textbook. I completed my full Master of Science degree at SUPINFO International University in Paris entirely in French — every lecture, every assignment, every professional interaction. I built my early career in a Francophone environment and have maintained active professional French throughout my working life across four countries. When I teach French, I teach it from the inside — the way it actually sounds, flows, and works in real academic and professional contexts, not just the way it appears on grammar charts.
What makes my lessons different is that I can teach French through English or Arabic. If you are an English speaker struggling to understand French grammar explanations in French, I explain it in English until it clicks. If you are an Arabic speaker learning French, I can bridge the two languages in a way that almost no other tutor can. This bilingual teaching approach removes the biggest barrier most students face — confusion — and replaces it with clarity and genuine progress.
My lessons cover the following:
· Complete beginner French — alphabet, pronunciation, essential vocabulary and phrases
· Conversational French — speaking naturally and confidently in everyday situations
· French grammar — explained clearly and practically, not just memorized
· Written French — emails, essays, academic writing, and professional documents
· French for travel — practical, immediately usable language for real situations
· Business and professional French — workplace communication, presentations, and formal writing
· Academic French preparation — university entry, DELF, DALF, and TEF exam preparation
· French for Arabic speakers — a specialized approach using Arabic as a bridge language
· French literature and culture — for advanced students wanting deeper understanding
Each lesson follows a clear structure — we review what we covered last time, work through new material with practical exercises, and end with a clear focus for next time. You always leave knowing exactly what you learned and what comes next.
I am patient, encouraging, and direct. If something is not working I will tell you honestly and we will find a different way. Progress in language learning comes from consistency and the right kind of challenge — not from repeating the same approach that is not landing.
All lessons are conducted online via video call. Sessions are available in English, French, or Arabic depending on your preference and learning goals.
