Tutoring is something that I care deeply about as tutoring and independent learning is what allowed me to sit my maths GCSE and A-level a year early. I employ strategies that have worked for me and my other students to help my tutees achieve their maximum potential.

The lessons are structured in a way so that the student is able to recap and recall previously attained knowledge and also have time to learn new information. The start of the lessons usually consists of a short recap covering information learned in previous weeks. We then move on to newer content, which constitutes the majority of the allotted time in the lesson, Towards the end of the lesson, we go over a brief overview of the plan for the next lesson as well as the setting of any homework if required.
Students are able to achieve the grades required as they are constantly recapping information they have previously learned and are applying this knowledge to solve questions. This technique ensures that students are understanding the content as opposed to cramming it which results in students forgetting information and techniques very quickly.
