About Isabella
I am 21 years old studying at the University of York. I studied Maths, English Literature, Chemistry and History at Alevel, and can appreciate the struggles and pressures of schools. I have seen how confidence can hugely impact a students performance, and that often simply some support and encouragement is mostly what’s needed to help students flourish. I want to be able to inspire and help those who are struggling, teaching not just skills for tests, but also more effective ways to learn so to avoid the extreme levels of stress which can often accompany school and is simply unhelpful. I am a supportive and friendly tutor who can relate to my students as well as thoroughly teach them new topics and recover material from their classes which they may not have quite grasped.

I have over 4 years experience as a tutor, offering 1-1 hour long lessons. I welcome ages 11-18 and have extremely positive feedback about how my compassionate and comprehensive techniques help my students thrive. I take a positive attitude to learning, as a firm believer that no one is unable to achieve. I work through topics right from the basics with many students, making my own power points. I start each session with a warm up which includes a range of previous things covered. I am patient and can very much relate to feeling embarrassed or frustrated when struggling with a subject at school, and appreciate how difficult it can be to ask for help. There is no judgement in my lessons.
